Copying files from one folder to another might be slow while tranfering large files like movies or other bulky folders. With BurstCopy you can significantly increase the file transfer speed. This is made possible by using dynamic buffers in order to reduce seek times. It has pause , resume options are available in order to temporarily suspend the transfer if needed and it allows to even transfer files when errors are encountered with retry and skip options.

The file to be copied and its destination have to be indicated in its control panel and when you click on start the file transfer is done faster than the conventional windows copy and paste. And, interestingly you don't have to open the burstcopy every time you need to transfer a file, when you right click a file and click on copy just go to the desired destination folder in which you want to paste the file and when you right click to paste the file you will see an additional option ' burst copy ' in the menu which makes the file transfer much faster.

If you are fanatic about Astronomy and outer space, here is a joy ride for you to explore the outer space. 'Exoplanets', are planets orbiting stars that are outside our solar system. More than 300 of them have been discovered so far by astronomers across the globe. You can now explore these strange new worlds using Google Earth's API.

google earth api
The web site uses the API to place icons in Sky View. Visitors can fly around the universe and click on the icons to get information about exoplanets drawn from the Extrasolar Planets Encyclopedia, Wikipedia, and other sources. Information includes pictures of the parent star, the estimated planetary orbit, and artist’s interpretations of the planet’s appearance based on known data. Tabular information about the exoplanet and its star, and detailed descriptions and references are also included.
As the JavaScript that powers the site is transparent, visitors who want to build their own web sites with the Google Earth API can see how it’s done.
To add on, it’s built around the “Astrometrics Console” from the Star Trek: Voyager series, and works by using the buttons and controls on the console. Visitors can hear “7 of 9” and scan for Borg cubes in Sector 001, watch briefings and experience the world of Star Trek: Voyager but with real explanatory data.
